What pollution problem does carbon dioxide cause? and why this pollution problem is a problem on earth?

When cabon dioxide mixes with water you get H2CO3 or Carbonic Acid this is a relatively weak acid but can do quite a bit of damage over time. It's a component of acid rain.

I say it's a component because other pollutants make it much worse. Especially suphur emissions from car engines
