Apologies in advance, I am not very good at these.
1. If you reverse the digits in my friend's age, you have the age of her son. A year ago she was twice his age. How old are they both now?
2. The day before yesterday Adam was 27. Next year he will be 30. How?

2. The date is 1st January. Two days ago on 30th December Adam was 27, his birthday was on 31st December (yesterday) so he's now 28. On 31st
December this year he will become 29 years old and on 31st December next year he will become 30.
