If anyone sees this and can answer for me, what does streak mean?

The streak is the  number of times in a row you've solved it.

Just to expand, to build your streak you must play on the same device, in the same browser every time.

I suspect if you clear your cache and cookies you will lose your streak - I have yet to find out.  I can't find any way of signing in to the game to keep your stats.

Corby, does it also have something to do with the number of times you share it?

As far as I'm aware, I've always managed to solve it, but don't always share it and so today says streak 1.

I did solve the one before but didn't share it.

Dec 24th my Streak was 14. didn't post Waffle or Wordle on Christmas Day although I did solve both, both were rubbish, so didn't share. Now my streak is one although I always use the same device, so I can only think it must have something to do with sharing.

Barry, I always use the same device, my PC, it's the only device I have. Don't clear cache or cookies as I don't know how to.

I noticed that Ozzy had no streak today, why do you think that is?

I built a good streak up before I ever shared so I really don't think it's that.

Sorry Barry, I think I may be mistaken. Now I think of it, I don't think I managed to solve Waffle on Xmas day and that's why I didn't share it and also didn't bother to share Wordle either.

Blame it on the sherry trifle!
