5 cats 5 mice 5 minutes
1 cat 5 mice 25 minutes
1 cat 1 mouse 5 minutes
Were 4 cats taking a nap and leaving the 1 active cat to catch their quota ?
5 minutes
Do the five cats all catch one each? If so, did they all catch 'their' mouse just as the stopwatch showed '5 minutes'? Or did the first cat catch it's mouse inside a minute, then 2 mins for the 2nd cat, and so on?
20 minutes if it my cat she's so fat.
Do they hunt as a pack?
One minute.
When we were have an answer!
got to be 5 minuites. The time period is irrellavant. The 5 confuses the brain ...If the question said 5 cats catch 5 minutes in a second (or day) , then in a second (day) one cat would catch one mouse
Perhaps there are no mice left to catch.
Perhaps three of the mice we're blind ! so dead in seconds. One went up a clock so it escaped. And one had clogs on . So the cats wouldn't go near it.
Five mins is correct as shown in jj109's first answer.

This is rather like:- If a hen and a half lays an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many eggs will three hens lay in a week?
A little mouse with clogs on? Well I declare.
