Following the coffin in civvies after not being allowed to wear his military uniform, he looks completely out of place.

couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.... how will he cope when he gets home to his fabulous mansion
it's odd that he's one who actually served in the forces; other grand uniforms are purely decorative.
It must really irk seeing his brother Edward in uniform having served all of 5 minutes!
has Edward still got his L sticker on his back?
He’s already sullied the name of the Royal Family, it’s right with his status(or lack of) he doesn’t bring dishonour to any of the Regiments/Royal Navy with which he was associated.

No one should be humiliated on such an occasion - and no one should take pleasure in witnessing such humiliation.

I was once based in Chichester and we had some Royal Marines on our course with us.
They all wore t-shirts that had on the front:
You can turn a frog into a Prince

On the back was:
But you can’t turn a Prince into a Royal Marine.

He and Harry are at least still allowed to wear their medals and as non-working Royals at present the protocol is that they do not wear uniform.

protocol schmotocol - what a load of old BS!
better to have tried and failed than not tried, I suppose; the military life is not for everyone. As I recall the last king to lead troops into battle was George II so it's not part of the job description any more.
It ought to be said in Edward's defence that military life is not everyone's cup of tea.
Still cannot help thinking of Fredo Corleone (Godfather) each time i see him, though.
I do not think he looks out of place necessarily. The Earl of Snowden, Duke of Sussex and Peter Phillips are not in military uniform.

I may not like him as a man, but I do consider that given those are his mother's mortal remains in the coffin in front of him, I shall leave him be.
is that a real crown on the gun carriage?
di-monds n all? as cockney ABers may warble....

anyway, Harry is in mufti ( and I cant see that awful Moll either) sozza his lawful wedded wife....

considering what they have done why cant we say
Royal Family dud?
ah, a lawyer's eye for impt detail
The Duke of Gloucester looks as if he is struggling.
Both Andrew and Harry have been serving officers in H.M forces, both in theatres of war and rightly decorated.

It is wrong that they should not be in uniform.

Indeed, can’t mock him for having a crack at it, the Commando course looks even tougher then P Company, wouldn’t have been my thing!
^
Perhaps he chose the Marines to prove something to someone/himself? No shame in being an ordinary foot-soldier.
