Nice topper!
Ahh, that’s brilliant! How lovely that people are doing nice things for the jubilee. :o)
In my town a few miles down from the village ladies who crochet have been very busy. They always produce a wonderful display of poppy head in November which are stitched on to netting and then festooned around. Now we have tudor roses and the like.
Question Author
Naomi there’s definitely a feeling of coming together here for the Queens Jubilee, it lifts peoples spirits after 2 and half years of Covid .
The same person must do the Poppy’s Choux as we have those in November here too
I am looking forward to the Jubilee, Bobbi. Both for her Majesty to be celebrated and for people to enjoy something after so long in the shadow of Covid. Something that will put smiles on many faces cannot be denied, whatever some may say - and, no doubt, write on AB ;)
Oh how cute- unlike the nail fungus picture below:-))

Haha Margo , mine is a bloke hoo very with a shark cleaner :0/

I totally agree Choux ,I feel sorry for those that can’t get into the festivities for whatever reasons they’ll miss out on so much fun
It’s lovely to have something cheery going on after we’ve all had such a miserable few years, Bobbi. It’s so nice to see all the flags flying.

Choux, our ladies knit poppies for Remembrance Day which are pinned to
nets to festoon the village but I don’t think they’re doing Tudor roses. What a nice idea.

* hoovering*
Question Author
It’s a fab idea ( Tudor roses) and I loved BMs planting red, white and blue flowers
naomi, ignore the straw hanging from the corners of our mouths and it is amazing what country ladies can do :)
Question Author
Well it’s different from a clay pipe Choux ;0)
Haha! I know, Choux. I live out in the wilds and I have nothing but admiration for them.
I keep breaking those beggars...
That was in ref to clay pipes.

Craft fairs abound round here, naomi and ladies fight to the death to do church flowers!
Question Author
Now I’ve got a mental picture of you Choux, sitting on a haystack puffing away on a clay pipe with a tartan shirt and dungarees on :0))))
Keep thinking Land Army, Bobbi. I have a checked shirt on and my jeans are tucked into my socks to stop the slow worms climbing up my legs. Stopped one the other day that was trying to get in the back door - it ended up visiting the field beyond.
Here too, choux - but not me. I’ve never been ‘crafty’. I’m more an organiser of fetes and fund-raisers. Love the village way of life. Such community spirit. No one is ever left alone and neglected and there’s a lot to be said for that.
Question Author
I’d have loved to have been in the Land Army Choux ( seriously)
For all we’re around 6 miles from town,we still have a villagey feel even though it’s expanded greatly since the days of the grand old church here and the community centre
I know where you live now, Bobbi!
