That has no known long term side affects.....
to prevent a disease that has a known 99% survival rate...if you catch it...

I'll take my chance.

You take yours.

A choice we all have, yes.
Nailit; do you know of any vaccines which have had long-term side-effects (apart from protecting you from the disease that they target)?
There may be some - I don't know - but I wondered if you had investigated it.
Each to their own.
You wouldn’t be injecting yourself anyway it would be done by a trained Doctor or Nurse. If you want to gamble with the chance of your life being in danger then carry on. I have had both vaccinations and booster and am glad I have had that opportunity.
It's largely the unvaccinated who are clogging up the hospital beds.
Thanks for the announcement! Do you feel better for telling us?
Absolutely, Lady CG.....it doesn't prevent you catching or spreading Covid but it can seriously mitigate the effects if you are unfortunate enough to be zapped with the lurgy - haven't seen the latest figures of death without versus death with - but a few weeks ago, it had been only 60 or so on the latter.
ITU are full of people like you . Good luck .
"A study of over half a million adults in England found that one in 20 had persistent COVID-19 symptoms.

The research looked at survey data from the Imperial College London-led REACT-2 study, collected from random samples of the population between September and February. Nearly 27,000 (around 6%) reported experiencing at least one of 29 symptoms linked with COVID-19 for 12 weeks or more"

You say the jag, "has no known long term side affects" so what is your issue with it?
You are stirring it intentionally, Nails. What about all the other stuff you take into your body? Just do what you do in your own little world. Someone is going to call you a selfish git and it may be me...

My x BIL just spent 2 weeks in hospital with covid.
Double jabbed.

Nothing like me.

ITU Are full off people like me?
dont think so.
Being so concerned about what you put into your body, how goes it with the alcohol intake ?
Eating, drinking, smoking, pill popping....even with the known side effects.
You're okay with that?
You don't think hospitals are full of folk like you? You really don't research before posting do you, Nailit.
By taking your chances you could really damage others but I don't think you care really.
You're just like the other "look at clever me" Aber.

Enjoyed our get together onetime Tills but so be it.

Haven't we been through this before...I'm having a deja vu moment.
I appreciate your decision to take your own chances Nailit, but that also means you are taking other people's as well.

You may escape the worst effects of Covid were you rbe infected, but trust me, having a 'mild' dose is something you would not want to contemplate lightly!

Maybe you should consider those around you that you care about, and your approach upping the chances of their infection, and the possibility that they may not simply shake it off like you hope you will.

Just because someone is double-jabbed and still sucumbed is not really an argument against protection in my view.
We have, Pasta....and Nailit's not the only one using AB as a platform to garner attention for being anti-vax and anti-mask.

I'm fully vaccinated and, no, I don't know what's in it - neither this vaccine, the ones I had as a child, nor in the Big Mac, or in hot dogs, or in other treatments…whether it's for cancer, AIDS, the one for polyarthritis, or vaccines for infants or children.
I also don't know what's in Ibuprofen, Paracetamol , or other meds, it just cures my headaches & my pains.
I don't know what's in the ink for tattoos, vaping, Botox and fillers, or every ingredient in my soap or shampoo or even deodorants. I don’t know the long term effect of mobile phone use or whether or not that restaurant I just ate at REALLY used clean foods and washed their hands.
In short.
There's a lot of things I don't know and never will…
I just know one thing: life is short, very short, and I still want to do something other than just going to work every day or staying locked in my home. I still want to travel and hug people without fear and find a little feeling of life "before".
As a child and as an adult I've been vaccinated for mumps, measles, rubella, polio, chicken pox, and quite a few others; my parents and I trusted the science and never had to suffer through or transmit any of said diseases .
I'm vaccinated, not to please the government but:
* To not die from Covid-19.
* To NOT clutter a hospital bed if I get sick.
* To hug my loved ones
* To Not have to do PCR or antigenic tests to go out dancing, go to a restaurant, go on holidays and many more things to come.
* To live my life.
* To have kids go back to school and play sports.
* For Covid-19 to be an old memory.
* To protect us.
