Gino Strada, A Latter Day Saint?

He died recently. If I could nominate someone as a latter day saint I think it would be hard to find a better candidate.
Any thoughts?

For those, like me, who'd never heard of him. Remarkable man.
As Zacs has just commented, I too had to look him up - a truly amazing man who leaves a wonderful legacy.
there is certainly a precedent for those who die in Rouen becoming saints.
"To ignore the suffering of any human being is an act of violence and cowardice".
A remarkable and rare man.

I think he's as good a candidate for sainthood as Joan of Arc.
and all she did was kill Englishmen. She wasn't even French.
My vote would be for Princess Diana. God rest her soul.
I'd not heard of him either - a man of considerable achievements & a life well-lived.
I suspect that Gino Strada's well-known atheism might be something of an obstacle to his canonisation ;-)
Some proven miracles required sandy. Maybe in a few hundred years time .
LDS has a special meaning for chrissakes

a sainthood for someone who says to the Taliban etc

well possibly - even Mozza Teresa looks saintly compared to that. If I want be a saint I will take up a quiet contemplative life - less harm done
One of my tenants went back to her father - I agree perhaps pushed by me er somehow - and HE at the end of three weeks ( yup that long I lasted 7 months) - said

Joan of Arc was longish 1431 - 1920 . That isnt her age by the way for any Aber who is perhaps - - dozing. Shortest st Peter of somewhere 1252-3. This pope has canonised more than all preceding. Perhaps there was a saintly waiting list and he just ......

A good man like this who spent much of his life, and sometimes put it at risk, helping others, is worth a thought.
