I've tried Googele as well for this answer - and for another 2 on he quiz with no luck.
Have also been asking friends and work colleagues - and they are stuck too!
To impose a blanket ban on asking for help defeats the purpose of the quiz as numerous other AB members have stated they may not send their entries in incomplete or may not do follow on quizes.

Surely it's the setters choice though Tuvok and to say they won't pay for it because it isn't complete must be the wrong attitude. What about those on here who say they don't want to win they just want to help the charity. Not sure there have been numerous say they won't pay for it or at least I hope not

Whether they follow them is up to the purchasers of the quiz - then it is up to the setter to take whatever action they see fit if rules are not obeyed.
It is this sites choice to make their rules and ed has stated nobody should do anything that deters people asking, and that includes you.
It is up to the people on this site to decide whether they want to answer the questions or not.
What is the difference between someone getting help on this site or in the pub?
Asking here does not ruin it for others - if they don't want to see the answers they should not click on the question. If they want assistance then this is a good site to search as you have just done.
Therefore the only argument that I can see for the complainers is that they want to win the prize and they feel that people asking here get an unfair advantage, SHAME ON THEM. I thought that the purpose of the quiz was to raise money, not to win a prize. The complainers attitude is extremely selfish. Surely the quiz would be better off by accepting anybody's money and better off without your constant sniping deterring people.

I was not complaining you seem to like to accuse me of that. Where did I snipe? I am sure on one thread you said you 'answer if that was what the setter has requested and some other people don't if they know and how will they know if no one says so. The Ed has said we may add what the setter has requested and that is what I did and Percyverunce did not object to that. I fail to see why people want to turn everything into an argument it doesn't need to be. You have your opinion and I have mine and that should be allowed without you wanting to argue. I didn't by the way search I never do I just read the latest topics.
