I notice animal charities seldom get a look in when celebrities are playing for charity on quiz shows.

My money would probably go to Battersea Dogs Home.

Which charity would you play for?

My four-legged companions have always been so faithful so it would be The Dogs Trust. They are already in my will along with other charities.

Local cat rescue
Humans then children’s leukaemia

Animals then orphaned seal pups

British Legion or RNLI
Cynthia Spencer hospice.
I'd always go for human charities. Of course I will be much more inclusive when I'm a celebrity.
When Ann Widdecombe won on Tipping Point the money went to a goat sanctuary.
Personally I would play for Winston's Wish a charity that supports bereaved children.
Any charity that helps the homeless (but definitely NOT Shelter)

Fair play to Ann Widdecombe.
Why not shelter? I just gave them money today on street, should I not have?
I'm usually much happier with smaller charities with low overheads and tightly defined objectives. I've supported these people for many years :

Of the 'mainstream' charities, I would support the RSPB and The Alzheimer's Research Trust.
I’d give it to Lothian Cat Rescue or Fife Cat Shelter.

Then the Ben Fund.
Bolton Hospice. I recall reading that the Celebrities get a large appearance fee, which rather defeats the object of playing for charity.
I always think about those poor donkeys they show in the middle of afternoon programmes (and the RSPCA at the same time). I can't watch them!!!
When Shelter approaches me, I tell them that the local charity I work for needs money more than they do. Yes, they do good work, but most local charities struggle.
Oh...and I'd give to Gables Farm Dogs & Cats Home.
Or...Forever Hounds Trust...Sally came from them.
I would have to draw the charity out of a hat, too many charities to mention. Anyway, enough ... you know I don't like to talk about all my charity work.
HAWS and North Devon Animal Ambulance
The Alzheimer's Research Trust.

At this time of year many street dogs across europe die in the perishing winter temperatures - there are many charities out there but they simply are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers and vets bills.
