Yesterday some one showed me a 'party trick' where one person was sat on a chair and the other four (me included) hold their hands on top of that person's head for about 20 secs and after that we can lift that person with just one finger. I have been since trying to find a reasonable explanation for it but haven't been able to. Can anyone help?

oh yes, the classic 'light as a feather, stiff as a board trick'. i played this once, we also did it whilst listening to the X-files theme tune...lol so funny. ANYWAY, basically this site explains it, to do with exploiting magnetic fields and stuff.. http://www.castleofspirits.com/levitation.html
I know a good party trick. You will need a glass of water and a pin. First of all you find a volenteer preferably someone you don't like and then tell them you can pin a glass full of water to the wall just useing a pin. As you are Pretending to pin the glass to the wall drop the pin on the floor and ask the person to pick it up for you, as they bend down pour the glass of water on there head and watch their reaction.
