Hello solvers!

Does anyone do the Independent on Sunday cryptic? I'm stuck on five this week - really poor show!

3d: Description of certain church fellows taken in by heretic (8) *R*E*I*N

17d: Person failing gets upset, silent male needing to come out determined (8) R*S*L*** (Resolute??? If so WHY??!!)

19d: Girl's taken in by crazy bloke, one taking clothes off (6) N*****

22a: Author issues mild expletive - rejected by firm (6) *O*R** (Last letter of this is 3rd letter of 19d)

26a: Provisions for public health in a part of the UK kept in the depot (10) **N***T*O* (First letter of this is 5th of 19d and 5th letter is last but one of 17d)

A mini-crossword in itself.

Cheers if anyone can help.

26a Sanitation
2a Conrad mild expletive Darn rejected backwards with Co ...firm
3d Armenian

19d = nudist

Yes, 17d is resolute because:
LOSER (person failing) written upwards gives RESOL
Silent = MUTE and male (M) taken out leaves UTE

Thanks everyone - 15 minutes to complete what I've been puzzling over for hours - on and off! I won't have the cheek to send it into the competition though.

Cheers
