1.Sounds like a wanderer preceded by part of the alphabet-6 letters.
2.Join a type of acting to what sounds like a mop-7 letters.
3.Sounds like wet soil plus a compass point and a crossing.-8 letters.
All are coastal places in GB

C + roamer?
c= part of alphabet
romer sounds like roamer =wanderer
^Should have said C + Romer (sounds like 'roamer')
3 is Mudeford

Type of acting could be mime (as all other terms seem to be too long).
