Le mystére des voix Bulgares sing songs that sound as though they might have provided a backdrop to the rites of Demeter during the time Jason was voyaging in search of the Golden Fleece.
But as Bulgaria had a spell under communist rule could these songs actually be celebrating the success of the last 5 year plan or increased tractor production in local factories?

I have no idea what they are singing about sandy, but I enjoyed listening to them.
Thank you for sharing.
The Bulgarian folk songs :1)The peasant shepherd rejoices as he counts his sheep safely in.

2) How I miss my lover now she is gone (off with the shepherd, I fear)

(That covers all folk songs anywhere, except emigration (Ireland) and sailors drowning )

You can't be on the level, Steve.5, I see no bared breasts
I'm familiar with the second song in that clip...it was a favourite on a world music album I had years ago. And hearing them sing 'oh Susannah' - what a hoot...lol.
I bought the album some years ago. They're are 3 or 4 excellent tracks on it.
