The wording on the quiz sheet was "Please do not ask for clues (or answers) on the Q&A quiz websites as many forum users cannot resist giving answers and this can spoil it for others." and the closing date is 20th December.
The clues do follow a logical route.
Good luck
That's odd that they see it as "spoiling it". I've sent off for two after seeing some questions on here, with enough time left. I wouldn't have done otherwise. Thought it was good advertising!

I agree to some extent a double edged sword tin ternet forums - advertise on them and then ask not to give out answers or clues.
In this case though the closing date is months away.
details of this quiz can be found here:

Interesting. I know the closing date is some distance away but am really puzzled by the numbers. I was never any good at map-reading. Thanks all. I like to work things out as I enjoy doing quizzes but was stumped with this. Even time would not help me Fibonacci. lol
think about your alphabet
You could have chosen another method. Do what you can of the quiz, send it in, get the answers back and then you can hopefully learn how the missing answers come about. That way you are still supporting the charity but not spoiling it by getting other people to give you answers.

boysinblue68 I am doing what I can of the quiz and still have a way to go. Also I am not asking for 'answers' as you put it. pixie373 has seen some answers on here but I haven't seen any as I was not looking for them. I just wanted to understand what the numbers meant. Look at the OP again.

The problem with Q&A sites is that even if you ask for clues, you will invariably get given the answer - as you have in this case. I suppose the bottom line is the rules of this particular quiz - dont ask for help on Q&A sites?

Ridiculous. Where else does one ask for help if not a question and answer site. It's not just for advertising, is it?
Not ridiculous at all. You chose to enter a quiz to support a charity. You will presumably abide by 2 of the quiz rules - pay the entry fee and submit your entry by the closing date? So why can't you abide by the other quiz rule and not ask for help on the internet? Simple really and quite painless.
As I understand it this is a Please comment and not a Rule of entry.
As already pointed out to see reference to a quiz on here usually leads to more people getting the quiz for themselves and so boosts the profits of the charity - which is surely the whole point of a charity quiz.
grasscarp - in the case of this particular quiz, there was a specific rule from the quizsetter saying not to ask for clues or answers on the internet. What makes this request even more galling is that the closing date is 20 December 2013.
boysinblue, you have not commented at all on my remark that without it being aired on the internet there would not be extra entrants and extra funds. Surely that is a plus, or do you only deal in negatives?
grasscarp - it is a total waste of time responding to boysinblue68. He has been banging on about AB users giving quiz answers since way back in 2007. He was a nuisance then and continues to be so.

Butterbun, ignore boysinblue68 and ask away.
Pot calling kettle I think there lol

Trouble is grasscarp too many people answer and dont ever buy a quiz why should they, they can just spend all day doing the ones that people ask on here without supporting any charity but they never admit that
I will once more trot out my predictable reply...

This will never be solved to everyone's satisfaction, there are many ways in which people view this. For myself, I consider it courtesy to honour what the quiz setter asks (I do realise Butterbean asked for a clue by the way) - do I ask family, use Google or my pile of reference books, of course I do.

I may have this quiz - if so it will be in the December pile, have a few months worth to get through before then.

Happy quizzing, it should be fun not lead to arguments.
