I've been on this computer nearly all day, and I swear there's nothing else to do, dinner is cooking in slow-cooker, washing has been dried and put away, house tidied, beds made, bathroom cleaned, cat fed, what would I have done without the internet???

Read books, went visiting people you weren't really bothered about but it got you out of the house, did crosswords, knit, crocheted, baked.........oh hang on I do that now.

It used to take my mum 2 days just to get the washing and ironing done with 11 of us in the house, she never had a washing machine but did have a mangle! There were no ready meals (or cakes) everything was made from scratch. When she did have time to spare it was spent listening to the radio while knitting for us all.

It's amazing how we have changed with the times, I do the shopping weekly, no one would wear my knitting, don't darn-chuck in bin, just done a crossword, I'm crochety! beds all done, kid grown up, no grandkids, no dog, and I read when I am in bed. Of course this may all change at end of month when daughter comes back to live!!!!

food = pilchards on toast & lentil soup. Only launder & cleaner comes once a week. Window cleaner is due.

I have a fat cheque to spend on premium bonds but its toooo cold for the PO.

Skype is great & you dont have to prepare welcoming meals nor spring clean before visits.

Brought up a family - worked full time - had no washing machine, tumble dryer, hoover, etc so everything was done by hand. No TV either until I was 25 so listened to the radio and records, wrote long letters, gardened, decorated, took the kids out to swimming, skating, BB and GB. Blimey, wouldn't have had time to surf the net.

Was well into arts and crafts, loved it. read a lot more, wrote long letters.
Now? Seem to spend more time here and havent got time for my old passions. Cook, housework, shop, washing, irioning, then hop on here for as long as I can !!
Am I bovvered? Na.
