Does anyone know what is recognised as the centre of London?

I've been told Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross and the Church of St Martins in the Field.

I've always been told Charing Cross where distances from London are measured from.

I belive Greenfingers is correct.

I have always understood that all road signs are measured to Charing Cross.

However if that is geographicaly correct I don't know.

London has grown a bit since the advent of road signs

All distances are measured from  Charing Cross, there is a plaque just near Trafalgar Square showing the exact point.

But  this might not be the centre off London

where do i find my "welcome" email?!!

Close to Charing Cross, but I believe the plawue from which all distances are measured is on the North side of Trafalgar Sq, just in front of the National Gallery.
