100 mph = 100/60 miles per min
100/60 miles per min = 100/3600 miles per sec = 1/36 miles per sec

1/36 of a mile = (1/36) 1760 yards = (1/36) 1760 x 36 inches
=1760 inches
1 mile = 5280 ft = 63360 inches. So 100 miles = 6336000 inches.
i hour = 60 minutes = 3600 seconds.
So, 100mph = 6336000 inches in 3600 seconds.
Divide 6336000 by 3600 to get the number of inches in a second = 1760
