How much did you lose stoke?
Not had a bet for a while stoke. MrAsk has, or would have had won quite a bit with his armchair betting lately, funny how they always win when you watch on TV. Mind you you save a bit of money that way. Been very cold here today, I have a bit of a cough at the mo so not been out for a couple of days. hope you and mrs stokey are OK.

hi maize i didnt actually lose i had 3 winners albeit short priced..mrsmaveric had the first 2 winners and then she saw an old friend she knew from london so that turned out to be a nice suprise for her, thats the way it normally turns out ayg hope you feel better soon x
A result then.... and a Great day for Mrs stoke x
Much as I enjoy a day at the races stokey I don't often win, as my dear old dad used to say if it was that easy to pick winners the bookies would all be on bikes and the punters in Rollers.Still there's something special actually being on the course even Trish enjoys it.

lol paddywak you dad was so right..my dad always used to say ''you never win lad..you are only borrowing it from them''..wise men eh???
Well in my opinion you both had a great day out....and cost you nothing..which in my book is always a Bonus. Right I'm off. Night all xxx
did squad win?
Question Author
nite maize x no squad didnt win bedknobs...oh well...
You're right stokey, but we still fall for it and we always remember the big wins and conveniently forget all the bad days. The first time I took Trish to the races was with a pub trip to Cheltenham in '88 to the Mackeson Gold Cup when Scudie won on Pegwell Bay it was the best day I've ever had at the races and I won enough to buy a pairs of Ziess 10x50 bins, take Trish to Paris for a long week end and still bank some. Since then it's nearly all been down hill, every time we go we KNOW it's going to be the day.
