Hello - welcome to AB!

We might need some more help there - specifically which country you're in now.  Although this is a UK site, it's used by a lot of people from all over the world.  If people are going to be able to give you accurate advice, we'll need to know where you are. (Just the country!) :-)

Also, it might be helpful to know when he was sentenced for the car crime, and burglary (or was it just one crime, a TWOK offence?), how long the sentence was, how much time he served, and if any part of the sentence was suspended.

I hope we can help! :-)

we are in uk it was more than one offence he served 9 months of 18 he was released may 20 this year

Well, having said all that above, I think the answer may now just lie in his early release papers.  He should have had this explained to him when he left prison, but you can just check the conditions of his licence.  If he IS allowed to go, he'll have to inform his Parole Officer anyway.

Sorry that this isn't conclusive.  If he can't find his papers, his solicitor should be able to hep him get another copy.

Good luck! :-)

It would depend on the country he wishes to visit. I think the fact that the conviction is so recent may go against him.

For USA, no conviction is ever spent - you would have to apply for a visa and argue your case.
