We were just getting in the car after we'd finished shopping, a car pulled up next to us (in disabled space) and put something up in the window. After having a closer look, she'd put up an open cd cover to make it look like it was a badge at a quick glance. Sneaky cow! There were plenty of other spaces. She obviously does this on purpose so people think she is putting a badge up. People never cease to amaze me!
What crafty things have you seen people do?

When we hold a charity event we always lay on good refreshments. At the last one I saw a lady gather a huge plate of cakes, take them to her table, wrap in a serviette and put in her bag. All unnoticed she thought.
She then went back and gathered another plateful to eat at the table.
I took the plate off her. :-)
I thought this was a thread about knitting or making stuff hahaha {:o(
mps claiming thousands of pounds in expenses that the were not entitled to..
I thought it was either about making things...or some of Craft48's less than savoury habits
I thought you were referring to my fan club...............
Quite a few people who didn't know my Dad helped themselves to the buffet. I didn't really mind though. It was a rolling buffet so they got a decent feed.
That's just what I thought too craft......not that I would have believed it.
:-(
We cater at our own expense though Ummmm. £3 or £4 for an evening of entertainment and refreshments. Not to greedily fill a bag to take home and nothing extra in the Save the Children tin.
That's different, gness. I wouldn't have been happy in your situation. I didn't mind because I don't think my Dad would have minded.
I have watched an apparently sane colleague empty all the bottles in his mini-bar (using some sort of home made gadget, to open them without breaking the seal on the caps) and refill them with cold tea/water as appropriate.

I had a bottle of scotch with me from duty free - but that wasn't 'fun' ....
Plus we had a set price as the pub/restaurant is owned by a family friend.
Usually I am unable to finish meat in a restaurant meal so I always ask for a doggy bag. The schnauzers really enjoy their steaks
Dave..your Scotch?

I don`t have a dog Sibton so it`s two starters now. I eat so slowly that people expire waiting for me to finish.
especially when you go to the loo half way through, gness, and get locked in!
There is that too DT. x
The professional mourner is still alive and well. They scan the obituary columns of the local paper looking for the magic phrase, "...all welcome afterwards at the (insert name) for refreshments." They are very rarely challenged and if they are, will merely state that they knew the deceased fifty years ago, a claim unlikely to be refuted. If ever I fall on hard times I know how to keep myself fed.

lol sunny-dave, makes you wonder how many people do that. That is beyond stingy lol.
Oh heck, now I understand why that person in work was checking the death notices in the papers
went to Warners in Wales on day of departure people were leaving a tip for the waitress, one couple were arguing about this and the wife put her foot down and made her hubby take all the change out of his pocket and leave it on a plate she swept out of the restaurant triumpant and he turned round behind her back and picked the money up and put back in his pocket !
