Hi, what sentence can be expected from the following:
Nine charges of fraud by false representation totallying £2,703
A 21-year-old began to get involved with the pensioner’s finances, he helped himself to hundreds of pounds at a time by using his debit card and writing out cheques.
Addiction to cocaine was at the root of the problem.
However £300 was withdrew to pay for an item of clothing at a retail store
The victim is vulnerable, in “poor physical health” and in need of the support of social services

Probably a jail sentenc but suspended , the courts do not take kindly to people stealing money from the elderly. A lot will depend on if the 21 year old has tried to repay the cash and if they have expressed remorse. If no attempt to repay has been made it is likedly to be a jail term with no suspension.

The result was a 12 months suspended sentence, £500 fine and 150 community hours
I think he was lucky -
did the pensioner get his money back ?
