Can't believe what a numpty I am!

When I started using AB, I was mildly surprised that there were a few people with the unusual name of Tia. I've just posted a question, and signed it off Thanks In Advance - and the penny dropped.

Please, someone else tell me that they've been equally thick. Please?

Agree with Kiki, for ages I wondered why so many people's real names were signed with Tia!

LMAO :-)
Hands up!!!! Me too. I haven't noticed it that much, but must admit I thought it was a name!!

Kiki. There are people looking for you (including me) on your Pain Management thread in B&S
Kiki go to your pain link
*Titterfarkle* :-)

I text my mum once and put 'btw'... She thought I was drunk!!
Me too - all my texts are spelled and punctuated correctly. Spelling and grammar were taught to me, and they are habbits I cannot break.

Can't say the same for typos though!!
My hubby thought our son had a girlfriend called LOL as every time he went in to our son's bedroom he saw LOL on the computer screen.
Not on here but as a girl I remember thinking how this girl 'Jackie Fan' kept getting her letters published.
Don't worry about it. I never know what all those funny initials mean. :o/
Your not the only numpty kiki, I also thought tia was a name.

Never crossed my mind to question it haha

What does tia stand for then?
Funnily enough Andy, my son, who is nearing 29 refuses to use text speak at all, and punctuates all his texts correctly. Strange in a younger person. I don't use it either. My best friend does and I don't know what she is talking about.

I do use LOL and ROFL on AB, but that's about it
pusskin - Read Kiki question and you will see what it means!! ha, ha!!!
ON NO The penny has just dropped reading your post again kiki. LOL
Never mind pusskin. It's our age!!! It takes a long while for pennies to drop x
March 22nd - Numpty-Night.

What fun....

We all get caught out by expressions....
Pennies are now taxable.
:o) DT
For the more mature AB'ers, BTW means "Bring The Wheelchair"
Like Andy I too write any text I in "proper" English though I must admit I do make some mistakes. My nieces youngest confessed to her mum she likes to text me because my replies are like getting a real letter.

DT - can we henceforth make March 22 officially Numpty Night and therefore a Bank Holiday?
