Imagine when men and women are together maybe at a football match and a near miss happens, like a striker missing a penalty. All the men will put their hands on their heads and all the women will put their hands over their mouths. Ladies please don't think I'm being sexist, but that's what happens.Has anyone else noticed this and does anybody know why we do it ?.

I promise you boxtops. look at any T.V.program that has a live, mixed audience and when theres a surprise look at the crowd.
Perhaps the women are covering up thier mouths because it's not ladylike to be seen mouthing choice swear words! I will look out for this now. Personally, I hate the way that women on live programmes, such as Britian's Next Top Model, Big Brother etc shreik when faced with any new siutation! Perhaps that's because I'm not a shreiker (well not in that way!lol) that I detest it so much.
I cant stand cackling women either, as ABers will know - like the Bleakley, Alex from the One Show (so nondescript I can't remember her surname - is it Jones?), Aleisha Dixon, the cooks in Saturday Morning Live, the list is endless......
i have a problem being around a lot of women....they are pretty irritating in groups
I think that's digressing a bit from the OP...!
I put my hands on my head, I have also noticed other females do the same thing :o
I think I would if I was in utter dismay/despair, but for a small shock, I'd use the hand.
with her looks Alex Jones can keep cackling all night....i wouldnt mind
