Adrian Chiles has been booted from Daybreak because ITV failed to see that he was a graceless morose humourless buffoon who struck a chord with a football audience, and has a range of emotions from A to B and back again.

From this report, he has remained true to form to the very last.

I have to admit I was very glad when he left the BBC; I don't watch ITV morning shows so he didn't bother me there! I'm watching fewer and fewer ITV shows because of the mindless 'competitions' and americanisation of them. If it's something that I want to watch I record it and then I can 'buzz' through the 'dumbo' bits.
I think he's okay. I don't watch Daybreak though...

In the case of Daybreak with those two - that would be all of it!
I think he peaked on Working Lunch, never watched Daybreak.
I didn't know that Christine skated......whic Ice Show then?

Back to Beeb for her?

Otherwise, true, AH, I agree.
As above - don't care about any of it. My TV doesn't go on til about 7pm at the earliest.
I think christine is taking over from holly in presenting "dancing on ice" with philip schofield
I remember listening to Adrian Chiles on Radio 4 before his One show days, and I think before he'd done any TV at all.

I remember thinking at the time, 'who on earth is this muppet and what is he doing on the airwaves?'. He sounded like someone they'd dragged in off the street because one of the real presenters hadn't turned up. He's done nothing since to change my opinion.
Adrian Chiles has had a charisma bypass and the Bleakley woman should keep her horsey mouth tight shut. There said it.
Dancing on Ice is one of my favourites,I'm gutted Christine Bleakley's taking over from Holly. She just laughs and giggles all the time.
gutted about holly ... but with 2 kids i expect she's busy!

and i never watch an 'adrian chiles' show! x
I remember catching a few editions of 'Working Lunch' while being off sick & thinking that he'd presented the show very well, in a way that your average joe (i.e. me) could understand.

I wish him good luck for the future & would hope he'll find another show that matches his personality.
cathfromsaron,
Holly's going over to BBC to present a new show called The Voice UK.
I think they're replacing him with Alan Titchmarsh andy...

:o)

Just to add a bit of balance to this "Chiles bashing" I have actually met Mr Chiles a number of times at West Brom matches.
He is a very sociable and easy going chap who has no "mightier than thou" atitude that many people in the public eye have.
Never watched daybreak as I'm usually working when it's on, like many other people.
Perhaps he is a victim of his accent, like me he's from Stourbridge and our droning way of speaking doesn't sit well with many in this nation!

Leave the bloke alone..He's a Baggie and we're a nice bunch.
Boing Boing!
I have never watched Daybreak because I like BBC in the mornings.

But I like Adrian Chiles. Down to earth bloke with no airs and graces. And I like his humour.

I wish he would come back to the One Show which I now think is an insult to intelligence.
Ummmm and I must share the same taste in menfolk. We don't like a lot of flannel and falseness!! ;o). We like blokey blokes!!!

mightyWBA - AC may well be a wonderful guy socially, but it is not for his social skills that he is paid a serious amount of money - it's to be an appropriate, personable witty, professional broadcaster, and as evidence shows, he is none of these.

I have nothing against his accent - but i have plenty against his sour expression, his constant squinting at the camera, and his obvious wish to be somewhere else. if you don;t like the gig AC - walk away, that would have left you with the 'dignity' you bleated to the press about.

Robinia - I can feel one of my 'heads' coming on ....
Why do you watch it then Andy?
If I don't like a programme I just turn it over.
