Shopping in the supermarket today and they were playing the usual Christmas songs on their sound system and I was surprised at how the music seemed to lift the mood of my fellow shoppers. Men were singing along or whistling, women were humming,( not the smelly type of humming) and even though the place was packed, the music seemed to make things less stressful.Does it cheer you up when you hear Christmas songs?

If I hear Slade or Wizzard one more time I think I'll puke. Fairytale in New York is definitely OK though.
