I'm meeting up with my best friend on Monday for a meal as soon as it was arranged I'm already panicking about what to wear. It's really stupid I know but she is one of these girls who is a) naturally gorgeous and b) looks great in everything she wears, always looks glam even in what she considers tatty clothes. We don't see each other often but when we do it's usually for a night on the town and I end up going shopping every time for something new to wear.

We're only going for an Indian and as she is about 7 months preggers then it's not like it will be a big night out (plus it's a Monday) but I know I will end up showing up and wishing I hadn't worn what I chose.

I'm not the only one who spends a week worrying about what I'm going to wear from an extremely low key occasion am I?

stop worrying, wear casual and comfy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, enjoy curry and a chat with a friend ,
I don't, because I'm one of those people who is a) naturally gorgeous and b) looks great in everything he wears! ;)
I occasionally dither about what to wear but worry - no!! It would spoil the whole evening. Dress for you and no one else and relax.

And you're so modest too Paul. :)

I know I shouldn't think about it so much, I just cant' help it.
A good fitting pair of jeans a T shirt + a big chunky jumper. perhaps a matching wide belt. Perfect. Big softy H/bag. heals. Done.

I would never worry about what I was going to wear.
I never worry but might decide I need something more suitable for a specific event. I have two friends who are as you describe, I have never once worried about what I wear when meeting them, they is them and I is me so hardly seems worth worrying about.
Anna is right; presumably she wants to meet up because she enjoys your company, not because she wants to criticise your clothes! People are the important thing, not whether your hemline is at the current trend or your handbag the most expensive! Just lighten up a bit and you'll possibly be a happier person.
