They remain a favourite of mine, Lynne. Bert Jansch was a fantastic acoustic guitar player, and hugely influential.

This is the one I always remember from Pentangle mark, I used to go and visit my mum and she loved "Take Three Girls" so if I went to visit at the wrong time It was a case of make the tea and wait till the program finished

Paddywak, thanks for posting that. It's a great example of "making it all sound so effortless". Light Flight is composed in alternate bars of 5/8 and 7/8, yet it sounds so "normal". Try clapping along... ;-)

A couple of years ago, the surviving members of the musicians on Fairport Convention's first five albums got together to play a gig at The Barbican. The woman who "depped" for Sandy was truly superb and, when they got to this timeless classic, Richard Thompson was just in pieces. So were the audience. Was one of the greatest gigs I've ever seen...
