Has anyone sorted out the unclued part of the crossword. I've got 7d. K?A ?E?T and 15d. B?E?L?S. I can't identify the two across clues that might help. Can anyone put me straight?

Beetles

The Lark - enter as KRALEHT (Ascending)
The two across clues were - DESERT ISLAND (discs)

A poll revealed the most popular performers & work were-
Beetles
The Lark Ascending
Sorry I should have added that you must highlight the two persons with the same initials connected to the unclued lights.

These are-
George Martin
George Meredith

Wow! I'm impressed- now that I've done a bit of research into George Meredith and the desert Island discs poll, I'm with you. Thank you Kayakamina
Glad I could help.

It was an enjoyable puzzle - more like a Spectator crossword.

K
Yes, Wow! I'm impressed too, K. So impressed that I'd be ashamed to submit an enrty this week!
Aq.
I too am, as usual, impressed with K and likewise concur with Aq
I think the initials are not GM but VW. VW Beetle and Vaughan Williams
The initials should belong to 'the originators of these entries' i.e. 'beetles' and 'the lark ascending'. George Martin was an originator not of the ENTRY (Beetles) but of the performers (Beatles).
Thanks very much. Very impressed. Would never have worked that out
