A couple of weeks ago I saw a dream pair of shoes online at office.co.uk but they didn't have my size. In fact only had 3,7 and 8 left. Search of the internet and ebay and an e-mail to the company confirmed it was end of line and these were the only 3 sizes available anywhere.

My gripe (which won't bother anyone else) is that every website I go on (especially this one) there are these gorgeous but unobtainable shoes in the side ads. Why won't they go away?

That's what an ad-blocker is for. What browser are you using?

Err IE? I don't have an adblocker though
I'd advise you to do two things:

1) Install either FireFox or Chrome and never use IE again.

2) Download and install an ad-blocker for either FireFox or Chrome, and you'll no longer be bothered by adverts on websites.

OK I've seen that advice before. I'll look into it (presumably it won't affect anything else google, e-mail etc?).
No tips on getting me the shoes though :-(
