Sorry for appeaing here once again, but despite your kind help have still not found a new job yet. I recall seeing some adverts on buses in the Shrewsbury area for people needed for drug testing, but can not recall the name of the company. Do any of you ABers do this for a living, or know anyone who does? If so can you let me know the name and website of any reputable research facility who does this? I live in the West Midlands area, but would be able to travel anywhere in the U.K. to do this, and am ready and willing to start at once.

Many thanks once again for your speedy and helpful replies.

No openings in the gravedigging career then?
I would try contacting a few drug companies direct (gsk/Roche etc) to see what is on offer.

My understanding is that they just don’t take anyone – you have to fit the bill. Although the remuneration offered might look attractive, your lifestyle might be seriously compromised. It is not uncommon for those on a drugs trial to have all their meals prepared for them – the drug company will want to know that their drug was responsible for the cirrhosis of your liver, and not your alcohol in take.

However this weblink suggests they are after volunteers to undertake trials – after all, if you have a medical condition which cannot be cured/controlled with medication currently available – why not enrol in a trial?

And what if the drug trial ends up in irreversible brain damage, mutated sperm leading to birth defects or maybe rare and painful forms of cancer or other harsh conditions? The money will be long gone and forgotten about! I once thought about doing this but the potential for something bad to happen later on in your life and you'll never know whether it was just the card that life dealt you or was it those drug trials may come to haunt you.
I remember that case a few years back where one of the triallists ended up like the elephant man
I remember alexanderd, there was 5 of them or so, didn't one die or have an amputation?
I am not sure about one dying but I know they were in a bad way
JB-- this is a dangerous route to go down.Just remember that drug companies are out to make mega -bucks from the positive results of trials--jiust ask yourself do they really give a toss about the trialists.?
Realise that you need to find a job , but please think very carefully before you compromise your health and maybe your long term life. Not worth the risk factors in my view.
i have to agree with brenda.

think twice!!!!
So did you do it or reconsider jonnyboy12?
