Without giving the answers, how do you tackle
1a 28&29 dabble and dawdle (6)
28,19d Females on stage forget their words for a 1 across (7,6)
29,17 Almost all royalty grievously erred in backing a 1 across (6,6)

Seems you can't get 1a until you get 28& 29 -but you can't get 28& 29 until you get 1a.

I usually stick to the Times or Telegraph -do people like the Guardian's style of having clues cross referenced to other clues?
