Abit of an odd question here but i need some info as its driving me insane. My fiance who i live with was accused yesterday of stealing my sisters jeans. Both are 100% convinced that they belong to eachother, so my sister called the police.
Neither of them have receipts or anything like that, and the police are due at my house tomorrow.
What im wondering is whats the procedure for something like this? How are the police supposed to be able to tell who they belong to? And whats the charge if they are stolen??
Any info would be great !

the police would probably charge both of them with wasting police time.
If only Sara...!!
What a ridiculous thing to call the cops over. They really have better things to do with their time.
Can't they tell from the smell?
Tell them they have to test the crotches for DNA .. That'll stop them going on.
btw, it's the Theft Act, 1968.

but it's not gonna happen.
Fiance is the male spelling (fiancee is the female version)- so is your fiance a male who sometimes wears your sister's clothes?

Nothing will happen.

why dont you just go out and buy another pair of jeans for your sister and stop wasting police time!
This must be causing you alot of Strauss

i offered to buy her another pair its not good enough, believe me i dont want to see any police or anything like that. Personally i think the arguement is pathetic. Thanks for the answers anyway
This is a wind-up .....right?
craft it's too daft to be a wind up lol
craft, I'm sure it is!
Your sister called the police on your fiancée for stealing her jeans?

What a waste of police time. Good luck with the wedding though!

I wish this was a wind up, if i was gonna joke around believe me i wouldnt ask such a dumb and embarrassing question lol
My commiserations then Crunchy for having to post such a daft question 11 minutes after you join AB......not a great intro is it?
Why should the police question you ?

Probably give your sister a warning for wasting their time.

You could always cut the jeans in two and give them one leg each (judgement of Solomon).
