21A Look! Dead heats on turning over in snap. (4,2) L_S_ I_.
I think the answer is LOSE IT but I don't understand the "in snap".

23 A [This clue leads to a UK town which is not pronounced the way it is spelt.]

The clue is: Sun dismissed lies from politicians (6) _O_I_S

If you 'lose it' (lose control) you 'snap'
ans snap as in lose your temper?

Many thanks to you all. I think Aquagility could be correct in his explanation of why Roselyn is correct. If anyone can find a UK town in the original clue, please let me know.
