Mmmmm, interesting tiggers. Interesting.

I think we should declare war on Denmark anyway, so perhaps he is never ready for war against the bacon munchers.

(nothing like a Saturday morning history lesson, but what did Edward confess exactly for 10 points?)
LOL @ Tigger!

I assume he'll be Charles the 3rd - well, he'll be the 3rd King called Charles.....
Was it to do with who he said he would hand the throne to and who he eventually did hand it to?
Question Author
To be honest tiggers I don't have a bloody clue. All I know is Ethelred was unready for the Danish invasion.

Perhaps you could post a question in History for me?
May well do later.
When his nickname was given, it didn't mean 'unready' its just our modern understanding of the translation. He was niknamed as unraed which meant 'evil counsel' or 'bad plan'. Others consider it to be 'ill advised' or even 'indecisive' which is probabkly how we would understand it.

Anyway, how is this comp to be judged? Is it best/funniest answer or do we have to wait until Charles has been king for a bit and see what nickname is most popular? It needs clarifying, after all, a Thai meal is at stake.
charles the bonehead

I think humour will be the decider.

I thought of Charles the Camilla Womb Buster, but that is neither humourous or clever.

Charles the plant whisperer
King charles spaniel lol

Edward the Confessor didn't confess anything, exactly - the name allegedly comes from his supposed religious devotion.

will that do for 10 points?
