I have often had chance to be grateful to Lie-in King for his prompt answers, Definitely a King among lie-ins. But what I want to know is when does he recieve his paper. I have noticed his posts are often just after midnight. Apart from the question as to what is he doing answering peoples questionsat 1am. We don't get our sunday Express until 8.30am. I am soooo jealous of anyone who gets their paper earlier as I am an insomniac who whould love my paper to arrive earlier

More to the point frankofile, how are the questioners getting their copies at 1am? My own local paper shop opens at 7am but I am sure that 24hr garages have papers on sale before then but I'm never up early enough to find out.

Actually, you don't have to have done the crossword in order to answer people's questiions as long as they post the FULL CLUE, the NUMBER OF LETTERS in the answer and any letters that have already been found. I never do a crossword until I go to bed.

Hi frankofile - it varies! Most Saturdays, I'll sit down with the Times & Telegraph by 10.30 - 11.00am. I'll get tomorrow's Express & Mail at 9.00 - 9.30am (ish).

Someone (sorry, I forget who) last week had their Express Mag early from a newsagent friend.

If I'm not tired, I'd rather be on AB than go to bed & stare at the ceiling! :-)
i've been lucky enough to be leaving liverpool street station after 11pm on a saturday night , bought sunday's mos and express and have completed both gk crosswords before i arrived home.
if you leave london late enough on a saturday night then it's quite possible
well said, you are a fountain of knowledge, like gen2 you amaze me at times.
Y not read ur paper on-line......saves a lot of hassle and s. Dont have to plough thru the adverts and can cherry-pick the articles. Watch the TV on line as well - save on the licence fee.

Hi Lie in king, Thamkx for all you help. Even if we get our papers early, you always seem to know the answer before us so we are in awe of you
