They'rrrreeeee baaaaccccckkkkkk!!!!!
Guess robert murats innocent then '
they shouldnt have left the children alone, but surely they have suffered enough at the end of the day the little girl is still missing and some bas**ed out there knows who is involved, but if they ever get her back what sort of state of mind will the little angel be in?it really doesnt bear thinking about................
My thoughts on this are as they have always been......

Madeleine has been let down by both her parents and the portugese police. I can forgive the parents for their mistake. They will never be able to forgive themselves, I am sure. But I cannot forgive the PJ for the way they mishandled this case. They are incompetent and the smear campaign they have waged against the McCanns is unforgiveable. I think their shutting the case down will make no difference to Madeleines fate because I dont believe they ever seriously looked for her anyway.
I absolutely agree with the last 2 posts.

they did something stupid and there were tragic consequences.

none of this will bring the poor girl back safely.
So, you can forgive the parents but not the police? How does that work?

Its hardly a smear campaign against the McCanns. The police suspected them of a crime but dont have enough evidence to charge them. Thats they way that Portuguese law works, they are official suspects but havent been charged.
The Police behaved the way they normally behave in Portugal, they did'nt conduct the investigation the way the British olice do because they're not British. If you wish to be investigated to British standards and by British laws then stay in Britain, bl00dy tourists going all over Europe expecting everybody else to live life like they do. not a bit like the immigrants over here.
They did'nt search out buildings properly because they can't under Portugeuse law, sad but true.
The McCanns have asked for the files to be handed over to them so they can continue searching for her, urely this unprecedented? I don't think the British Police are in the habit of handing over files to families on "cold" cases, especially when they're still suspects.
Or as the Scots would say "not proven"
A child's gone mssing, my thoughts are with her. .
If the portugese police had behaved the way they normally behave, then surely they would have beaten a confession out of the parents.
