Pathclear kills existing weeds and is supposed to stop new weeds germinating for up to 3 months
The best way to sort this problem is to take them up remove as may weeds as possible(to roots) apply weed killer and then put down a good quality membrane. Then re lay the slabs and you should have a weedfree patio. Alot of work but the results will reflect the effort. The quality of the membrane is key, do not go for diy store own brand cheapie, try and get a commercial version, still available in say B&Q but about double the price but with about 10x the life expectancy. The one we used was intended for commercial driveways and was in a blueish package. You need to buy the metal pegs seperately. Best of luck.
