do i need to be insured too ?

my friend is learning to drive she and her husband have a car he is the main driver and obviously she is a named driver (learner) !! she wants me to take her out in her car for a lesson do i need to have any sort of insurance to sit in her car with her ??? there are no dual controls in the car so she is "in charge" of the vehicle, people have said i do need to be fully comp others say i dont need any insurance, insurance for my car is only 3rd party, fire and theft, PLEASE HELP !!!!!

You only have to be insured if you intend to drive the car. If you are only the 'observer' you don't need to be insured, but you must be over 21 AND have held a full licence for the class of vehicle for 3 or more years....Oh, and be sober!!
