I have a 1968Triumph Herald 13/60, with a standard 4 speed box in good condition. I have bought a 1300 spitfire O/D gearbox ( It has a ******* J ype O/D unit on the end of the G/box ). The Spit box has a chipped third gear, so I am wondering if the O/D unit will fit onto my good Herald box and if so what parts will I need to transfer from the herald box to the Spit box for it to fit.
I know that I will have to shorten the propshaft. I have bought an O/D mounting bracket, but what other brackets will I need to buy? Also are there any specialists within 50 miles of Cardiff that will recondition the O/D, or even carry out the work on the Spit box so that I can fit it to the Herald. I really need to be able to use my car on motorways, any help will be well appreciated.

Thanks for any help, even to part of my question.

Regards
