Okay, not many outside of Burnley and Wales may reconise the name but Taffy James was one of the best players ever to wear the Claret and Blue of Burnley FC.

He was capped 54 times for Wales and also played for Derby County, Swansea, Sunderland and Notts Co, and a few other teams.

He was 71 years old.

RIP Taffy

You were probably typing as i posted, Giz. Only just heard the sad news and have to admit it's put a bit of a dampener on my day. Up to the lads now to honour his memory by getting all 3 points in the gane against Sheff Utd.

Sad. I remember him. He was a high-stepping winger, very quick. And only 71. Shame. RIP.
