A very enjoyable puzzle to crack - many thanks, Quinapalus.

So many original features in this one. The double/partial wordplay was an interesting idea.

The only criticism I have is the huge scope for ambiguity in the wordplay replacements. I eventually spotted the theme through grid-staring, but when I went back to this part, only around 50% of my initial guesses turned out to be correct.

What an amazingly multi layered puzzle - it had us desparing right up until the final moves.

I feel that the expression "tour de force" has been used too often recently but this is thoroughly deserving of that classification.

Many thanks, Quinapalus.

Congratulations on completing the puzzle.

I now have completed the puzzle, not quite under my own steam. I don't submit so don't worry about using  Quinapalus's own very helpful Word Matcher, for suggesting possible 12 letter words from jumbles with not all the letters known. I'm sure he used his own software in constructing the puzzle.

I would be surprised if many solvers got the play just from letter pairs, but even resolving them after the fact gave an added dimension.

Thanks Quinapalus for a real challenge

Immensely tough but I enjoyed teasing out the gridfill. With less than 50% of the letter swaps correctly guessed I was never going to find the play title but was happier once I figured out the maths of the shapes - and then everything came together. Never did understand the play.

Pressure of work meant I had to do this in bitesize chunks, but I've got there in the end. It would have been nice to have had an easy one this week but there we go.

A stonker of a puzzle. Very tough.

I felt that the ambiguity of some of the character replacements took some of the icing off the cake. Nevertheless, a great construction.

Many thanks, Quinapalus.

Ì completed the grid, identified the writers, drew the circles, and decided not to spend more than about ten minutes on the endgame. Looking at the solution today that was one of my better decisions. Hats off to those able to complete it.
