Hi eliemay1, thank you for that.  I think they are using old xwords with new clues as I sometimes recognise the finished xword from certain words that I remember from before.  I have been doing it for years.  The new clues can be absurd & nonsensical.  I still enjoy doing it though.  Good luck with your entry.
