Yes, we in the US remember her well. There were many protests large and small against the war in Viet Nam (did you see Forrest Gump?). The soldiers returning from the war (my brother was one) were treated badly and sometimes reviled. Those soldiers had NO CHOICE, there was a military draft at the time. It just goes to show how mindless people can be.
