If that were the case then NATO would have enforced it. Instead he is most likely to attack NATO countries starting with those closest to Russia.
How can nato demand that....ukraine arnt in nato. It would just confirm to putin d his Russian supporters s that the west and nato is pushing farther east and it will harden his and the Russians attitude. Imo
What if he's not bluffing?
No, he would not back down. He would accuse NATO of warmongering and would attack NATO planes and the conflict would escalate.
He would use it as proof of his accusations of NATO as the aggressor, and sure up his home support.
High time to find a Russian equivalent of Stauffenberg methinks.The sooner the better.
But didn't he fail?
No,he didnt fail.It finally brought on to Hitler what he had brought the world to.After the July plot,Hitler was finished and he knew he was finished.Putin would feel the same way.
Hitler lasted another ten month after the attack, doesn't sound like much of a success to me.
