Morning Emmie x. Hope you’re ok? Today, well I have to deliver orders to 3 clients,m then about 4 pm Mr Smow is leaving to catch train for 2 days work away, so from this afternoon until Saturday will be just me and the kittens! Lol
Question Author
morning smow
Still pitch black but I can hear the birds outside tweeting madly in the trees lol.
Question Author
at least you have company for the few days he is away. Even if they are a little bit mad....
Emmie, I had my hairdresser come to the house yesterday(she used to work in my local salon but went solo so I followed her as she is good lol). She turned up and I put a chair in kitchen where she does my hair as my kitchen is huge - as soon as I did both of the kittens leapt on the chair and sat there looking at her as if to day “we’re ready!”. She was laughing so much - I took a couple of pictures. They were in her bag, on her towels, everything!
Question Author
they are still babies and are having fun, at least the hairdresser saw the funny side
She used to be one of my members when I was a Slimming World consultant and used to come to one of my groups, so Ive known her a few years. Will be odd not having Mr Smow here for a few days, but at least I get the tv remote to myself!! Lol
Question Author
there is always an upside smow.. he will be back before you know it...
I need to sort his birthday pretty quickly - I’ve left it so late!!
Question Author
when is it
February 8th. He’s 49, so this year will be the big 50.
Question Author
do you want a party for him, or get the family together and book a restaurant.
Question Author
my brother turns 50 in July, i have suggested to him, to invite family, friends and book a table at a restaurant, each person or couple pay for their own meals, drinks, that way the onus isn't on one person to pay, that is the birthday boy.
It sounds odd but tbh he doesn’t really ‘do’ friends , and family is pretty small. He’s a workaholic lol who simply likes being at home when he has free time, just chilling out. So I spoke to his parents last week, who are so so lovely, and suggested a small party at theirs , balloons etc, for them, brothers, young smow etc, with buffet, cake etc. just the issue of a present!! He’s a nightmare to buy for!
Question Author
is he into music at all, concert tickets are always a good bet.
Question Author
you could always get him a day out experience, like hot air ballooning, or a glider lesson, or a weekend away just the two of you, with spa facilities or does he like sports of any kind...
Yep, good ideas!
Question Author
when i was working, we used to get a bonus of A red letter day experience, choosing from spa, long weekends hotels, and a hundred different choices of experience, they are still going,
see if i can find a link.
Some great ideas there - Thankyou!
