Please explain these.

1.Present sense used in journal passed down through generations. Ans Hereditary. Here di t ary. Sense must be t but can’t think why
2. In room, child turned out light . Ans amber (as in traffic light) . I have tried the usual issue, son, daughter, tot , mite but no idea whatsoever.
3. Blue suspender belts. Ans Spend. Not a misprint, it is blue not blew as in I blew £50 at the races. Spend is within su spend er -but no idea .

Yes definitely sense but I think it must be a misprint. Annoying when in a book as you would have thought original typos would have been corrected.
