sorry i was unclear tony - there is a woman on the live 5 oclock briefing going into explicit deatail about how they traced the brazilian variant person. Right down to how they narrowed them down, who/how they called/texted , how they used the post office to reverse engineer the barcodes nd so on.

A weak effort to try and impress us all I would think. The truth of the matter is the Brazillian variant is already here, or they won't be fast tracking the new vaccines, now would they??

News that the Brazil variant had been found in the UK was released last Sunday. Three cases were found in England, and separately three in Scotland.

all the contacts have been tested - results not back

the govt here is poohing itself as the Brazil variant in Manaus has led to a significant third wave ( OK next wave ) including early cases and second infection

I think I might have nailed his hands to the kitchen table TBH
sort of to make sure he is was quarantining

I think the fol de rol was about how different it all was to the outbreak of Ebola in Glasgow(*) where they shot the wrong doctors (knowing at the time they were the wrong ones)

(*) isnt that where the case of Ebola rang up Glasgow A+E and said she may have Ebola and someone said ( just like AB) " yeah foo, just hop on the bus and we will have a look atyer den". She did and they had a bus to disinfect .... gunshots heard later in London. - whilst I was saying ( yes me) "I think you have shot the wrong fox"
