I have the theme, and the answers to the unclued lights but I am struggling with:

33D: I have ?HA??U
47A: I have ??SE?

Neither can I parse 46A nor 32D for which I have SOL and SELDOM.

Any hints or tips gratefully received.

It's always good to give the clues, then those without a copy can help. There are some very smart ABers, but they don't all see the Spectator.

47 - a UK investment scheme. It's a girl's name, backwards.

My apologies.

33D: "Extended family nearly all hit Oceanian island"

47A: "Something of value Tracy rejected".
Thanks, Lancastrian. I've given a hint for 47, 33 D is trickier. It's a new word to me. The first two words in the clue are the definition. You need most of a word for 'hit' and most of a word for a fairly obscure remote island. island

That's great, thank you.
46a - SOL is one of the 'special' clues and the definition for it is 'or' followed by the letter mix.
32d - 'had' is reduced to 'd inside MOLES = 'spies' (returned).
If it helps - the last 3 letters of 33d is the IVR for the Oceanian island.

Thanks- I've been struggling with this one!

Yes, I struggled with some of the clues/definitions too.
32d is a very odd looking (Maori) word. Even the 'hit' synonym is a slightly obscure dialect word, and an alternative spelling into the bargain - it's usually spelled ?ho? (in full) + a fairly obscure abbrev. for the island (5 letters, in full).
