Why, are you disappointed with the service you get from your present bank?

Free £100, what's not to like.
I have been with the same bank (Midland/HSBC) for 50 years, even though I have had my ups and downs. Better the devil you know...
Question Author
I have no allegiance /loyalty to and bank. If they want to give me free money, go for it.
Jack, I agree with you I have been with the same bank since 1960.

Last year or so got £150 cashback from H|SBC plus %5 interest.

I change banks every year or so to get the freebies. Makes sense.
SK //I have no allegiance /loyalty to and bank//
Does that mean that you have not compared the services that each bank offers, interest rates etc?
Question Author
£100 IS £100, Better in my pocket. Besides my wife likes the black horses.
Question Author
Interest rates are abysmal . £100 for nowt is a good deal.
I seriously could not be bothered for £100. All my DD's would have to be changed plus debit cards linked to online shopping accounts. Do you have to commit to depositing so much per month for this offer? If not, what would stop someone opening an account, getting the £100 then not using it?
Just to add, I'm with Santander and get on average £8 per month back into my account for using the account to pay certain DD's.
I'm thinking of switching my bank now as it has closed in my town and the nearest one is miles away. I may consider this. Thanks Sparkly.
Question Author
The bank arranges for all the DD's and payments in to continue. You have to guarantee a minimum monthly payment in. It is so simple and a hundred quid for nowt.

Not sure about that, sounds like you are paying more than you should/need.
The bank might arrange DD's but what about debit cards? You will have new debit cards and any online accounts linked to your debit cards will have to be changed.

I have about eight direct debits. I have never heard of getting cash back for paying your gas or phone bill ?
Question Author
All my online accounts are linked to a credit card.

Sorry I do not understand what you mean. I pay my Utility Bills DD and get money back into my account for doing so. I would pay the utility bills anyway, regardless of the money back offer. Last year I was given back nearly £100, its credited to your account every month.
